Leidos Commences Operational Testing Of DARPA ACTUV System

Leidos, a global science and technology solutions company, announced today that it is beginning operational testing of the technology demonstration vessel it is developing for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)'s Anti-Submarine Warfare Continuous Trail Unmanned Vessel (ACTUV) program. Testing will occur off the coast of San Diego, Calif., and follows the successful completion of performance trials from the summer.

Belarus plans to purchase five Yak-152 training aircraft by 2018

Belarus is planning to purchase five Russian-made Yakovlev Yak-152 training planes before the end of 2018 for the DOSAAF Voluntary Society for Cooperation with the Army, Air Force and Navy, Deputy Chairman of the DOSAAF Central Council Andrei Gorbatovsky said.

Russia’s Northern Fleet receives two Project 21980 Grachonok anti-sabotage boats

Two advanced Project 21980 Grachonok anti-sabotage boats have arrived for Russia’s Northern Fleet, fleet spokesman Captain 1st Rank Vadim Serga said. "These are the 11th and the 12th Project 21980 boats. They are currently undergoing running and state trials at the main base of the Northern Fleet’s submarine forces in Gadzhiyevo," Serga said.

The official ceremony of transferring six helicopters produced by a Russian Helicopters’ subsidiary - Kazan Helicopters - took place at the Machulischi airport near Minsk today. Royal Navy leads US Navy Task Force 50 for the first time

The Royal Navy has taken command of US Task Force 50 in the Gulf – the first time it has led a US task force in the Middle East. Israel orders 17 more F-35A stealth fighters jets

Israel will buy 17 more F-35A stealth fighter jets yesterday, after a vote of approval yesterday, Nov. 27, by the country's Security Cabinet. This additionnal batch of "Adir" fighters will bring up Israel Air Force to a total of 50 F-35A by the end of 2030. These fighters are to be purchased with the military foreign aid received from the U.S through a Memorandum of Understanding signed in September 2016.

Belarus receives four more Yak-130 advanced jet trainers

Four brand-new Yakovlev Yak-130 combat training aircraft have been received by the Belarusian Air Force’s 116th Guards Attack Aircraft Air Base in Lida (Grodno Region, Belarus). "The delivery of another four Yak-130 combat training planes have enabled our pilots and cadets to continue to hone their skills in flying Generation 4++ aircraft," the BelTA news agency quoted Belarusian Air Force Commander Oleg Dvigalyov as saying.
